New
Book Chronicles Joys and Trials of Nursing Career
HAM LAKE,
MN – From an early age, Minnesota native Janet Izzo knew someday
she’d be a nurse, and in her new book, “Hotel Hennepin: Nurses Can
Make the Difference,” she shares how at the age of thirty, she decided
to make her childhood dream a reality, ignoring her family's laughter,
braving college courses with students nearly half her age, and balancing
the roles of wife, mother, and student.
The book
describes the joys and struggles of professional nursing while at
“County” Hospital, jokingly known as Hotel Hennepin.
It was there she had the privilege of caring for hundreds of
women from every walk of life. Izzo tells their stories as only a nurse
can, taking readers behind the scenes of this busy obstetric unit where
new life begins and sometimes ends on the same day.
Readers
will laugh and they will cry at the dramatic real-life stories behind
the doors of Hotel Hennepin, showing that nursing is more than just a
job—it's a passion.
Published
by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available March 16,,
2010, through book stores nationwide, from the publisher at
www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or now, through the author’s website

A
Minnesota
